After graduating from Lancaster University with a BSc in Environmental Science, Katharine spent three years as a Minerals and Waste (Development Control) Planning Officer with a county council, before returning to academia to obtain a Masters degree in Engineering Geology from the University of Leeds. After just over a year at a multi-disciplinary site investigation consultancy, she spent nearly seven years working for a specialist piling contractor / consultant, before joining GEA in early 2016.

Since joining GEA, Katharine has worked on a wide variety of ground investigations in London and the Southeast, including many with basement impact assessments.
