With a master’s degree in Engineering Geology from Imperial College, Juliet has extensive experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental investigation and consultancy, Juliet has worked on a wide variety of developments in a range of geological conditions and has been with GEA since its inception in 2003.

Juliet has been involved with a wide range of investigations, over her 20 years of experience, working on sites affected by chalk solution features, coal mining and clay heave problems. She has supervised and validated the remediation of former petrol stations and furniture works, including the redevelopment of a former toy factory in Hackney. Juliet worked on the redevelopment of the oldest petrol filling station in central London, including specification and validation of remediation of soil and groundwater contamination. She has gained experience in carrying out complex combined geotechnical and geoenvironmental investigations on former industrial sites in the Southeast of England and on difficult city-centre sites. As part of her role, she is also well versed in developing specifications for difficult access ground investigations and is always available to chat about your project.

Most recently she has been working with clients to navigate contaminated land conditions as part of the planning process in the London boroughs. This work can be initially frustrating and challenging but greatly rewarding once a project finally gets off (or into) the ground!

Juliet is responsible for much of the day-to-day technical direction of our main Herts office and directs the training and mentoring of junior members of staff. Juliet enjoys developing ground models and, assisting colleagues in progressing their knowledge and understanding of this concept.
