John joined GEA in the summer of 2024 for an eight week placement and recently re-joined us in July 2025 for a year’s placement as part of his degree from the University of Portsmouth, where he is currently studying Engineering Geology and Geotechnics. John is gaining experience in site investigation, borehole logging and report writing in a range of geotechnical projects and is based in our Hertfordshire office.
