  monitoring

Where we have identified contamination on a site and designed a strategy for remediation we are retained to monitor and supervise the remediation process to the satisfaction of third parties, including the Local Authority, Environment Agency, planners and funders. This monitoring, which will generally comprise site attendance, visual observation, and recovery of samples for laboratory testing, is a vital component of the audit trail.

Our presence on site in a monitoring capacity can have a significant benefit in limiting the amount of remediation that needs to be carried out, as our engineer is able to continually review the scope of remediation as ground works proceed. In addition, as all of our engineers have skills in contamination and geotechnical matters we are often able to provide valuable input into construction issues such as foundation depths and structural support requirements.
